Lekhara became the first Indian woman to win two Paralympic gold medals with
her victory in the women's 10m air rifle (SH1) event here on Friday as
compatriot Mona Agarwal claimed a bronze.

A car accident in 2012, at the age of 11, left her
with complete paraplegia. Her father encouraged her to join sports,
training in archery but moving to shooting, where she found her
true passion. She is currently studying law at Rajasthan University,
India. She was a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya 3 (Jaipur), where she
received her first gold medal in a regional shooting match.
She won a gold medal in the 10m air rifle
standing and a bronze medal in the 50m rifle 3 positions at
the 2020 Summer Paralympics. Lekhara is ranked the World No. 1 in
Women's 10m Air Rifle SH1 as per World Shooting Para Sport Rankings. She has
been given an appointment as Assistant Conservator of Forest by the
Government of Rajasthan.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is just around the corner as 20 teams battle it for the most coveted title in T20I cricket. All the group A games will be exclusively played in the United States of America (USA) with the West Indies being the co-hosts of the marquee event.
USA and Canada will feature in the tournament opener at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas on June 1.
